Sunkiss'd Mozart Summerfest 2025

The Summerfest experience

The Summerfest experience

As always, we invite our audiences to unwrap the programming like a present at each event, and to take a chance on falling unexpectedly in love with these experiences. Especially since coming from a concert of ours this past weekend, where everyone fell in love with a rarely heard program, I encourage more people to join us with this adventurous open mind.

The five days of this year's Summerfest are strung together by intriguing life stories and passionate pursuits of artists spanning 400 years (the youngest only in their 20s today!), painting a vibrant and moving picture about the metamorphosis that happens both within ourselves and in our surrounding world.

Think of the first concert, "Aurora" as a sonic spa meditation. It will restore and refresh you, like a deep cleanse, a true respite from the hustle and bustle of life. "Meta" will capture your imagination like a dramatic film or play, with a depth and darkness that is incredibly rewarding to experience. The entire program of "Harvest" bursts forth with irresistible joy and closes with the extraordinary and incomparable Mendelssohn Octet.

In addition to the music, we offer stories and contexts that allow all of us to connect with these musical treasures more deeply. We created the Summerfest Canvas Series for this purpose, to expand our understandings and perspectives about our music, its importance to us as individuals and its place in the world.  And after last year's Canvas events, people raved about how unforgettable these happenings were. So we have dived into creative mode again for this year’s "canvas" (pun intended) and have come up with some incredible experiences that we can’t wait to share.

Finally, along with our artistic programming, each event's venue and surroundings--whether a room filled with paintings of scenic Monterey Peninsula or an actual view of the landscape and ocean embracing our "greatest meeting of land and sea"--will be immersive, will stimulate multiple senses, and is not to be missed!

I look forward to seeing all of you at as many of the events as possible, June 11-15th!
